The Energy of Bones

THE BABY SKULL
Lots of fascinating effects pop up when you do a physical treatment with a patient that overlaps into energy work. For example, when you're holding the cranial vault in a Craniosacral Therapy treatment, it often feels as if what is just one complete bone in the physical body has several sections in the energetic body. I think, in the case of the cranium, this at least partly because the baby skull has many more sections than the adult skull so it can fold in on itself during labour. You sometimes find that the adult skull has the memory of an over-ride between the parietals and the frontal bone, it can seem to have a beneficial overall effect for the patient if this resolves in a treatment.
SACRUM AND COCCYX

The Sacrum and Coccyx also seem to have quite different physical and energetic presences, something I've already been exploring in our regular remote group sessions, which I'd like to explore further in our session today, Thursday16th July 2020. The different sections of the two bones, generally five in the sacrum and four in the coccyx, are fused together in the physical body, but don't seem to be quite so fixed in the energy body. What I've felt so far is that the sacrum expands and contracts as if in response to the rise and fall in pressure within the cerebrospinal fluid, acting as a kind of reservoir or secondary pump. In this session I'd like to feel for the different sections of the two bones, just listening to see if I can pick up any patterns of movement or anything.
