SPHENOID REBALANCING

SPHENOID REMOTE GROUP SESSION THURSDAY 1st FEB 2024

In our last remote group session I focused into the sphenoid area, also into the occiput and the sacrum, and felt something I've not really felt before, it seemed to be a continuous exchange of subtle energy and information as part of our energetic and physical bodies' rebalancing. It's as if all the different elements of our bodies are continually checking in with each other and making tiny adjustments accordingly.
Though the sphenoid is very important in its own way, as a keystone of the cranium and a home for the pituitary gland, it doesn't actually seem to be an overall master. It's more as if all the different body elements are completely enfolded with each other, every one is as important as every other.

Our First Energy Work Day at Inverquiech

I've been hoping to link up the worlds of practical sustainable living and complementary therapy for many years, really since 2006 when I started exploring what a sustainable way of life might look like in real life - (see my first eco blog post here). In the past I've met permaculture practitioners who dismiss energy work out of hand and complementary therapists who don't see the importance of looking after the environment.

So it's been absolutely amazing after all this time to find myself at last bringing it all together with my great friend Kate Everett, farmer at Inverqueich.

A magical venue - Kate's yurt in the woods, near the confluence of two rivers, a very peaceful, grounded, balanced, nurturing space.

I've been helping out there, making a composting toilet on a trailer base, amongst other things, and also running the woodworking part of my sustainable living courses there (All Things Sustainable). We've been talking about putting on some kind of therapy/healing event for a while but finally took the plunge and set one up for last Sunday.

ENERGY HEALING INTRODUCTION - 12th November 2023

We planned a day to include an introduction to energy body anatomy, Chi Kung practice, a card game based around interpersonal patterns and a listening exercise, making the whole thing as relevant to everyday life as we could. We weren't too sure how people would take to the whole thing but in the end we were absolutely delighted by the response. The participants were mostly from the Timeshare Permaculture group Kate has set up so they were already on that wavelength or already had experience of different complementary therapies, so they took to the day like ducks to water, right from the very start. We've had wonderful feedback from everyone, it really feels like at last the time is right for events like this, helping people to understand the tremendous potential for energy work in our everyday lives, part of a whole sustainable post-industrial way of healthcare within a whole sustainable way of life.

LOOK OUT FOR MORE ENERGY WORK COURSES COMING SOON!

Kate and I are already dreaming up ideas for more events. We'll probably repeat this first day with a tweak or two, it worked so well, and build on that. We have a second day planned which will include dowsing and lightworking, but we are keen to explore and develop this whole world further - it has so much potential to help us in these crazy times... do please email in your own ideas too: ianecowatt@gmail.com

LOOSENING UP TIGHT JAWS AND RELEASING STRESS

This is the focus for our group session this week - Thursday 26th January, 9 to 9.30pm UK time.

Tightening up our jaws is one of our involuntary reactions to stress - it may be a kind of protective device, tightening up the cranium to protect the brain in dangerous situations. (The masseter muscles can load up your jaw with anything up to 200lbs). It's not a good long term strategy though... along with tight neck and shoulders, it leads to strain and restriction in several key areas, the cranial base/atlas, vagus nerves, jugular veins, TMJ's...

FREE REMOTE GROUP SESSION - 6th OCTOBER 2022

 FOCUS - CENTRAL CORE CHANNEL

For this session, I'd like simply to focus up and down our central core channel on each element in turn, in whatever order feels right. So, as well as the chakras, let's focus into the energy of other structures that lie on our centre line, our pineal glands, mouths, oesophagus and so on. My idea is to let everything reconnect, recharge and rebalance - building up our personal energy while keeping neutral, ie not sending energy out or drawing it in, just sitting quietly in the flow.
Then let's connect with the cosmic energy centre about three feet, or a metre, above our heads and with the Earth centre about the same distance beneath our feet. Have a brilliant session wherever you are, here's the link to the Facebook group.

REGENERATION

One of the themes I want to explore a bit more with our remote group and my own work is REGENERATION:

MIT image of RNA

Why should some types of tissue be able to regenerate and others not? Scientists are good enough to say that they don't understand the process - maybe that's partly because industrial medicine ignores the hole phenomenon of our energy body?

Maybe if we can focus on the tiny energy bodies of cells and molecules we can help tissue to regenerate at that level. There does seem to be a transfer of information that we can tune in with. I have an idea that we can focus into the information flow between DNA and RNA.

(Is this partly explained by the Morphic Fields that Rupert Sheldrake describes?)

VARICOSE VEINS

One of the tissue types that is supposed not to regenerate is the tissue forming the valves which help the veinous return of blood towards the heart - I've been exploring this for myself and for a patient. Clearly there are things we can easily do to help ourselves: reduce time spent standing still and walk more, I'm also finding very light effleurage self leg massage towards the heart helpful. Once some of the stress is removed from the veins can we help the legs to repair? Why not?

When you're walking the action of your calf muscles pumps your blood back towards your heart - through one-way valves in your legs
This is the theme for this Thursday's remote group session, all welcome to join in from wherever you are.
