I have been self-employed for most of my working life. Through running a succession of small businesses, I have a range of experience beside my main work: management, promotional, IT and administrative skills, and communications skills through dealing with customers, suppliers and other services.
WORK EXPERIENCE
2016 – 2017 Lived and worked at Barmolloch Farm, Argyll, helping to manage the farm and develop it as a permaculture and residential therapy project.
2011 – 2016 Lived and worked at Treflach Farm, Shropshire exploring and developing all aspects of sustainable living – food, shelter, healthcare, orchard and woodland management, woodland yields.
2010 – 2011 Worked with Sector39 Permaculture design parnership, Powys – developing and running courses, doing promotional work, developing and managing projects eg Cwm Harry community garden.
2010 South Inch Osteopathic Clinic, Perth.
2004 - 2009 Developed and ran healthcare clinic in Brighton, treatments and courses. Also worked at The Causeway Retreat, rehabilitation clinic on Osea Island, Essex.
1997 - 2004 Therapist at Centre for Natural Health and Administrator at Upledger Institute, the UK provider for courses in CranioSacral Therapy. Helping with everyday running of business and courses, dealing with students' enquiries.
1985 - 1997 Developed business into bespoke furniture and kitchen supply. Also property development projects, house renovations and a new build.
1976 - 1985 Own business making and repairing guitars, Perth and Gateside, Fife
1976 - Worked on organic small holding, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
